Michael Port, entrepreneur and superstar author of “Book Yourself Solid,” once told me that one of his best tips on business was: “Always have something to invite people to.”

Here’s where I’ll be speaking, hosting or just sipping an espresso in the upcoming months.

Upcoming

Women in Travel Summit: April 21-23, 2017

I’m heading back to the Women in Travel Summit this year! I’ll be presenting a brand-new talk called: “Making, Managing & Magic: 3 Essentials to Succeed as a Traveling Entrepreneur.”

How do you become (and remain!) a successful location-independent entrepreneur? By tuning into the three things you need most: Making (creating and innovating), Managing (joyful discipline and structure), and Magic (inspiration and self-reverence). In this workshop, you’ll discover the beat of your own feminine entrepreneurial rhythm without forgetting your bliss.

What You Can Expect to Learn:

  • Tips and techniques for engaging your full self in your business and your travels
  • How to source inspiration (when you need it most!)
  • Achieving success as a location-independent entrepreneur

March 28, 2015: Get Sh*t Done and Still Go to Yoga: Holistic Productivity for Entrepreneurs

Whether you call it your “passion project” or your career, you know you need to do the work. You know how important it is to follow through with high-powered motivation and drive—but you still want to be able to sustain the holistic, nurturing aspects of your life.

How can you do both? By knowing yourself and trusting your inner compass.

At this holistic productivity workshop open to attendees of the Women in Travel Summit in Boston, I’ll show you how to craft your day from the inside out!

Jan. 31, 2014: Sherry is Caring: Coworking & Sherry Sipping at Terroir!

Come see what real sherry tastes like at Terroir TriBeCa during happy hour, where the sherry runs freely! (Well, not “free”—but it is the ridiculously low price of $2.50 a glass. The people there also truly love it, say it is “the most underrated beverage on the planet earth,” and did actually once give it away for free just to get people into it. And there is so very much to love.)

We’ll spend the first 30 mins tasting three different kinds of sherry (you choose what you want to order or share with friends) and learning a bit about the art and craft of sherry—and, if you’re interested, why I, Amy, have a special writerly Spanish connection to it.

We’ll bring our laptops and after a mild sherry buzz will begin working away on whatever we didn’t get around to finishing this week, providing for a great transition to a clear, amazing weekend!

Sept. 26, 2013: Work ‘n Wine: A Coworking & Wine Tasting Benefit for Foothills Flood Relief

Come taste fabulous wine, mingle, and co-create (bring your laptop if you wish) with the Boulder community!

Want to cowork for free with fellow entrepreneurs and independent workers? Come at 3. Want to taste fabulous wine from local wine shops? Come at 4:30/5. Or stay the whole time!

This is an official event for United Way: Foothills Flood Relief Fund. 100% of the proceeds will go toward relief and recovery for the families and individuals affected by the severe flooding across Boulder and Broomfield counties. The funds are used toward health and human services for those affected by the flooding.

You will:

  • taste a multitude of fine wine
  • be inspired and engaged
  • learn more about becoming a successful entrepreneur
  • groove to some chill, fantastic beats
  • get to enjoy all this and benefit Boulder flood relief

Donation: suggested $10-25 minimum
*100% of proceeds go to Foothills Flood Relief Fund!

Partial gracious wine sponsor: Liquor Mart.

Details: 3 – 7 p.m. at Scrib in Boulder. Let people know you’re going and invite friends at the Facebook event page.

Sept. 7, 2013: IndieCon: An Unconference for Independent Workers

New Work City is hosting an unconference to gather independents to share best practices for how they manage their lives, to learn from each other, and to have a conversation about how we can support each other in ways we’d otherwise struggle to find on our own.

Join ‘n jam about preserving and reinforcing the independence and freedom we value so much as independent entrepreneurs. I’ll be leading a 30-min session called Manifesting Like a Mofo, which will peek into my manifesting course. My session: “Just the right amount of “woo woo” combined with hard work and purposeful intention is the secret recipe for attracting what you want in life, love and work. Become best buds with the universe with real tips and tricks of the manifesting trade, straight from the patchouli-scented mountains of Boulder, Colorado.” Hot.

Details: 12:30 – 5 p.m. at New Work City in NYC. $10; register here.
