Manifesting Gifts & Parking Spots But Not Actual Money? Here’s How To Shift That

manifest parking spots not money lucky bitch money bootcamp

Last year, I suffered from Parking Spot Syndrome.

Perhaps you’ve heard of it? If not, allow me to paint a picture for you—

Scene: New-Age hipsters drive to a trendy new spot with a conscious DJ and jun on tap—but wait! Where to park?

“It’s okay, we’ll manifest a parking spot!” one says. What does that mean? To some, it means actually visualizing someone leaving a prime spot, and holding that open space for their car.

It can also mean not a damn thing at all.

I’m not knocking using the Law of Attraction to secure a parking spot. But, if the “parking spot” vibration level is where you’re primarily utilizing your manifestation skill… what are you not using it on?

Vibe Your Tribe: How to Know Who To Keep In Your Life (And Who To Release)

Do you know who your people are?

After a series of three divinely timed events in the past week, one of the messages I’ve felt coming through is this:

Be selective about who you spend time with. This energy you give should cycle through you, not drain from you.

Swing Dance Your Way Out of Shitty… And Then Plan Your Magical 2016

I was feeling really shitty today.

“Do you need solutions or cuddles?” my partner asked me. I mrar-ed and squirmed into his shoulder, but when he went back to his work, I went back to shitty.

Seeing me continuing to mope, he got up again and twirled me around to a swing song.

Round and round I went, and with each turn the smile on my face got wider. Whether it was the vertigo or the thrill of avoiding the scattered objects we’re packing to move him to Colorado in nine days, I’m not sure. But, it pumped invigoration into my heart.

So, I sat down and started to dive in to Susannah Conway’s breathtaking (and free!) Unravelling the Year Ahead: 2016 guide.

It’s beautiful, unique, feminine—and exactly what I need right now.

While I’m still kind of feeling kind of shitty, it’s a hopeful-shitty.

And maybe, I can keep chopping off what makes me feel “itty,” until just the calming, watery sound of shhhhhh is left, to mother me back home to myself.

(Thanks, Susannah. And thank you to my love, infinitely, for all the times you scoop up my heart and fill it with bubbles.)

P.S. Once you’ve gone through Susannah’s (or another person’s) 2016 planning, check out my 28-page Holistic Day Design atlas. It’s an all-year-long packet full of checklists, to-dos, day blueprints and intentional planning tools. Use it once you’ve found your honing words for 2016 and make the year magical.

Unveiling The “Live All of You” Interview Series

Live All of You series graphic

For the last two years and change, I’ve been doing personal interviews with vibrant, successful entrepreneurs, creatives and independents who are living all of themselves in the world.

Aligned with their truth, these people are weaving magic in the universe, helping others and coming alive—every single day.

My specifications? I sought out people who are truly showing up and expressing their full, authentic selves—no matter how messy or shadowy—in the world.

Inspired by “The Way I Work and “How I Work” columns in Inc. and Lifehacker, the Live All of You Interview Series will focus on play/purpose integration and insight into what it means to live fully and attract what we deeply desire in life, work and love.

I believe that feeling fully expressed in our body, spirit and soul is the secret to living our greatest life. And these entrepreneurs, writers, teachers, coaches, explorers, and leaders prove it—every day.

Turn On Your Explorer Mind

portlandplane

This week, I’m headed to World Domination Summit in Portland, where I’ll meet 2,999 like-minded people—but, I’m flying sola, which is a thing I don’t do very often. My partner in crime is long distance (or what we like to call “medium distance,” since we’re blessed to see each other so often), and the reasons we have for 95% of our travel are intertwined with seeing each other.

This week, it’s just me. Especially today, before the conference starts, as I write this in a beautiful café in SE Portland—it’s really just me.

A different part of our brain is activated when we’re in a new place wandering around, finding our way by ourselves. It isn’t turned on so easily at home unless we’re highly intentional about it. So often when we’re home, we operate on autopilot.

Even though I appreciate my favorite roasters and restaurants, my watery routine flows purely in the trench etched by repetition—and it requires some swishing around to shift the current.

You’re Committed to What You’re Getting: Making New Agreements

I’m deep into leading my Manifest Like a Mofo group, and today we’re hitting on one of the hardest themes: taking responsibility for how you create your life.

When I read this in Conscious Loving (one of my bibles for life) by Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks, it floored me:

It’s simple to find out what you’re committed to—just look at the results you’re creating.

Gay elaborates on this in Conscious Living: He says that every time we’re faced with a choice, we can either take healthy responsibility or blame someone or something else. Each time we avoid responsibility, we claim victimhood.

Being a victim means we have no choice, we’re not in control, and we aren’t choosing our moments.

The idea that we choose our reality is an intense concept to step into if you haven’t been here before (and even if you have). It can bring up a lot of denial, fear, self-righteousness and anger.

One Thing You Can Do Every Morning to Shift Your Vibration | Avocado Mornings #5

First thing in the morning (ok, after you have hot lemon water), you should do this: change your story.

I am someone who gets up at 7 a.m.
I am someone who wears scarves.
I am someone who rides my bike in Winter—and rocks it.

Change your story slightly. Mildly. Why so small? Because subtly shifting your energy changes your vibration, and lets the universe know you’re ready to allow new things to come into your life—big and small.
